Serene elegance and windows overlooking our garden - First floor
Located downstairs in the Inn, Tea Room was the original dining room for the 1907 estate. The padded, two-inch thick doors entering your room are covered with an original faux painting which reflects the Craftsman character of the home. Paneled in rich mahogany, the main bedroom has a sitting area, complete with a settee and two wingback chairs, for you to enjoy in the quiet evening light as you take in the view of the Inn’s garden. A king-sized bed with lots of comfy pillows (feather, down and poly-blend) and an impressive floral canopy offers warm comfort. Next to your bed are lights on either side, including an I-Home clock radio with an iPod connection. An antique dresser and oversized armoire offer plenty of clothing storage. Facing your bed on an antique sewing machine stand is your flat screen television with a DVD/VHS player.
The original mahogany pass-through buffet between the bedroom and bath displays our unique collection of tea services above, and our library of novels below. From the bedroom you pass into an alcove that offers a large, two-person jetted tub with an adjoining remote controlled fireplace and additional settee. Our jetted tubs are highlighted by a large bath caddy with bath salts, wash cloth, louffah, glycerine soap and even a pirate rubber ducky to accompany you while you bathe. Dim the overhead lights, sit back and soak in luxury. Two full-length micro-fiber bathrobes wait ready to warmly wrap you behind the bath door. Heat is provided by our circulating hot water system with British thermostat, and a Mitsubishi Quiet Air A/C with remote control is available for summer cooling. A separate back door gives you access to the garden directly from your room.
Tea Room's bath offers a very large, cultured marble vanity for spreading out your toiletries. Your vanity offerings include: Hairdryer, makeup mirror, Gilchrist & Soames oatmeal soap, body lotion and conditioning shampoo, another bar of glycerine soap, and our personal toiletry jar filled with makeup remover, Q-tips and cotton balls. A coffeemaker with Seattle’s Best Coffee and decaf, coffee amenities including all types of sweeteners and International Delight Vanilla creamer, coffee mugs, wine glasses and a wine opener, complimented by an in-room refrigerator, are all included as well. Tea Room also has a separate toilet area with a modern tub and shower combination. Another clothes hanging area is located in the bath area with lots of hangers that will help take the wrinkles out of your travel clothes. An ironing board with an included iron is found in the room’s armoire. Bathroom heating and night lights are also provided.
Tea Room is a very quiet sanctuary for two that takes you back to the turn of the 20th Century, but is furnished with numerous modern amenities.
