The back part of the Inn was added to the original main house as apartments in the 1940’s. The staircase leading up to the Conservatory is accessed through the side door on the north side of the Inn. Conservatory is dedicated to Beethoven and classical music and is whimsically wallpapered with music themes and bold stripes, yet is very traditional in overall design. The sitting area features a loveseat facing the gas fireplace and television with DVD/VHS player as well as a wing-backed chair. There is a skylight over the sitting area as well as a large writing desk for your computer use. A four-poster canopied queen sized bed with lots of pillows (feather and poly-blend) provides a comfy place to read, relax and sleep while another armoire offers a small TV for cable viewing from your bed. Bedside are two side tables and reading lamps.
Heat in your room is provided by our circulating hot water system with British thermostat and a through wall A/C unit with remote control is available for summer cooling. A coffeemaker with Seattle’s Best coffee as well as decaf, coffee amenities including all types of sweeteners and International Delight Vanilla creamer, coffee mugs, wine glasses, wine opener along with a microwave and an in-room refrigerator are all included as well as closet up three stairs in the bath area.
Conservatory’s bath offers a cultured marble vanity for spreading out your toiletries. Hairdryer, makeup mirror, Gilchrist & Soames oatmeal soap, body lotion and conditioning shampoo, a bar of glycerine soap along with our personal toiletry jar filled with makeup remover, Q-tips and cotton balls round out your vanity offerings. This modern generous sized bathroom has a separate room for the tub/shower combination as well as the toilet. A view of the Inn’s garden and trees can be seen from Conservatory’s bathroom window. An ironing board with iron is found in the room’s closet. Bathroom heating and night lights are also provided.
Conservatory is the place to hideaway with your loved one for a week or weekend.
