Monet's Garden

Located on our Garden-First Floor
Completed in 2000, Monet’s Garden is a tribute to the French painter, Claude Monet and his villa in Giverny. This room is located in the building adjacent to the Main House and is accessed through the Inn’s garden patio. Two large chairs furnish the room’s porch for your relaxation. In entering Monet’s Garden, one experiences the total artistry of Deborah Uhl, a regional artist who was responsible for creating this work. Through many hues of blue and gold, her panels capture the character of Monet’s garden in Giverny

A gas fireplace/stove is the centerpiece of this bedroom’s sitting area, and is very visible from the king-sized bed. Lots of pillows (feather, down and poly-blend) furnish the wrought iron bed. Next to your bed are lights on either side, including an I-Home clock radio with an iPod connection. A comfortable sofa and coffee table face the bedroom’s television armoire, which has a DVD/VHS player and cable TV. Next to the armoire is a desk and chair. Recessed lighting and an overhead room fan are also found in the main bedroom.

Our jetted tubs are highlighted by a large bath caddy with bath salts, wash cloth, louffah, glycerine soap, and even a roguish pirate rubber ducky to accompany you while you bathe. Dim the overhead lights, sit back and soak in luxury. Two full-length micro-fiber bathrobes wait on the bathroom door, ready to wrap you up in their warm folds. While not completely ADA compliant, Monet’s Garden is fully ramped for wheelchair access, with a roll-in shower (shower chair available) and a 17-inch high toilet. There are however no grab-bars. A Mitsubishi quiet A/C with remote control is offered for summer cooling.

Private Bath
Monet's bath offers a cultured marble vanity for spreading out your toiletries. Your vanity offerings include: Hairdryer, makeup mirror, Gilchrist & Soames oatmeal soap, body lotion and conditioning shampoo, another bar of glycerine soap, and our personal toiletry jar filled with makeup remover, Q-tips and cotton balls. A coffeemaker with Seattle’s Best Coffee and decaf, coffee amenities including all types of sweeteners and International Delight Vanilla creamer, coffee mugs, wine glasses and a wine opener, complimented by an in-room refrigerator, are all included as well. Monet’s Garden bathroom is equipped with a large walk-in shower with a removable spray handle. An ironing board with an included iron is found in the room’s closet.

Monet’s Garden is a very quiet retreat for two, reminiscent of a French Country home, but furnished with numerous modern amenities.
